Despite his own doubts, Joshua Hill, labeled Georgia's most prominent wartime Unionist by historian Tom Dyer, left a significant legacy. A pre-war Congressman who fiercely opposed secession, Hill ran for governor as a peace candidate and later met with Sherman. Famously, he saved his hometown of Madison from destruction during the March to the Sea. During Reconstruction, Hill supported Grant and black suffrage, becoming Georgia's first Republican U.S. Senator through a compromise. Remaining a GOP figure until his 1891 death, Hill's story, meticulously researched by Bradley R. Rice, finally receives its due as the biography of a "staunch southern friend of the Union."

Could this ancient magic be behind Positano's current calamities? Haven must unravel the Amalfi Curse before the region faces utter destruction. Her quest for personal treasure intertwines with a desperate race to save the idyllic coast from a mysterious, age-old threat.
